Welcome to the Dave B. Collection page. On
these pages are short descriptions and stories about the unique items that I have
collected over the years. Included in these short essays I try to impart what I have
learned about what I collect, why I collect, and where to collect.
The main bulk of my collecting has been in
the area of Southwest Weaving. This includes the work and ideas of the native peoples, the
Spanish colonists, and the Europeans. Each of these groups have provided a vibrant
history in the southwest. This history can be viewed in solid form by touching and
studying the weavings of these groups and see how they intermixed their ideas and cultures
within the fibers of their art.
As time permits, I will add new items to
this visual catalog of the Dave B. collections, so check back from time to time. If you
